I have to say..

There's immense hotness in the dedication and discipline of an Asian Man.

"my love don't cost a thing"

A boy should never at any stage complain that he's broke.

Its like a girl complaining that she's FAT.

Its such a nag.

Pardonez moi?

How does one come back from a such a prolonged silence.
I have been promising myself and others that i would start blogging again shortly after the academic year was over but alas laziness and my indulgence in the first fresh weeks of holidays, not surprisingly, took over. Also my refusal to listen to myself has been making it a tad harder to write honestly about anything. The mind blank i dare say IS quite refreshing, like ignorance is bliss. But we shouldn't be in such denial, now, should we? Self destruction is inevitable then.

Anyways, over the past months, i have: discovered Skype, found new housemates, moved rooms, witnessed a very RED dust-stormed Sydney, finished my third year of uni, turned 22, cut and grown out my bangs, gained control of my impulse buys, donated 3 massive bags of clothes to charity and experienced a 35+ degree spring, looked for pubs that move every 3 months, completed the first 4 seasons of "how i met your mother" and the 2nd season of GG ..and other activities.. that i can't quite remember at the moment. I have also booked 2 sets of holidays and am almost dying out anticipation for them! yay!
My new neighbourhood, Redfern, (apparent ghetto of sydney) has proven to be one of the most interesting places I've ever moved to. Wedged in between a HIGH FASHION headquater of some sort and houses of people with unusual night lives has turned out to be adventurous. Just when we thought our soirees were as interesting as they can ever be, with people dressed as mice/ elephants/ leopards and lions, our friendly waterloo boys breaking out in RAPs and melodies at 5 am we frequently had lost and VERY high neighbours knocking at our windows for lighters, great conversations with very intellectual drunks and big and very burly Drag Queens gracing our sidewalks!Not to forget our Midnight escapades for pizza and more wine!!
Ah, who cares about rent and safety at such a time as this. haha.

This darned AMERICAN spell checker is annoying the hell out of me... how do i turn it off?

Ah well.... there's the update, possibly for the year, given my blogging tendencies.
Hope everyone's well and slapping on that sunscreen, well atleast us in Australia are, with that hole in the ozone and everything..

Bissous,
Moi

Restless

there's a certain sort of restlessness creeping.

not caused by boredom or the lack of doing,

but a new sort, clearly manefesting.

uni and work chores looming.

yet waiting instruction for the doing

of something,

even more worthwhile.

time for more ink.

Difficult MUCH?

Pretty people are such drama queens...

i hate that this applies to the women AND the men!

DARN, adds that extra bit of frustration to an already very hassled life.

which reminds me, assignment due 30 minutes ago.

REDFERN park! brunch and the like :)

22 eww?

It dawned on me, turning 22 will suck.... for some reason it just seems old.

The years between being 18 - 21 are just super massively cool.
You go through massive transitions in terms of lifestyles and accomplishments par example: passing out of high school, gap years, foreign countries, university, new apartment, new people, new jobs, etc.....
I don't really understand why we all freak out so bad, it can't be the wrinkles and all that (yet, i mean... come on)... the maturity feels great ( right?)

It just feels like we're crossing over... ( even tho we'll still BE in POwerhouse, Phewew...)
i guess its coz ever new year we enter we know that there's something we need to knowlingly leave behind and something else that we consciously pick up.

i know i have well over 6 months to figure this "something" out. What are you planning to leave behind at the gate of a new year? What new endeavour will you pick up?
This is just blabber, coz my peeps are complaning of NEVER updating, well there is FACEBOOK, TWITTER, CHICTOPIA and BLOGS....
we sign up for amusement, when soon, it just evolves itself into chores...
nah , im kidding, i love telling u guys and filling u in on my latest musings...
As for now things that consume my mind?
*Mid semester Exams
*The search for new housemates
* The new Job and pay :)
* New white Blackberry body in the mail
* Black booties/ oxfords/ high heeled brogues
* Floaty clothing in combination with well tailored pieces ( i couldn't resist it)
* Red/Orange and emerald/pine green hues
* Mohican tassled boots
* Bagels and avocado and soy chai lattes
* Galations
* LOVE *wink wink*
* New tunes from Moi.
anywho... time for BED.

a new blank.

I took down a painting today,

and all that was left a square dust imprint of what used to be.

I may paint it over, or should i hang up another one.

Maybe i'll place a shelf against it, hide the mark its left on me.

the boys this season.

chatting with the boys lately i was asked about what new (old) looks would be coming in again this AUTUMN/WINTER season.

BEing extremely partial towards European fashion i was looking forward to the new trends we'd see in Men's more dressy attire.
I would love to see them accesories more,

I'm particularly loving

*the leather gloves ( reminded when i was chit chatting with whitey)

* trousers with short hem lines. ( very 1960's)

* rolled up tan trousers

* scarves

* lots of navy ( and grey, just coz i love the combo)

* ridiculous layering (shadows and colour accents)

* Blazers ( i'm addicted)

Well there you have it my predictions for the coming season.
AUTUMN/WINTER my favourite seasons! yay!

all photos taken from the sartorialist ( amazing inspiration)

Mocassins...?

he dragged me a nearby ottoman,

I poised myself down on the soft little seat looking around like a child in a lolly shop.

the rush of excitement pulsating through my body a confirmation as I examined the detailed craft and exquisite form.

i deserve this, this beautiful piece of art i slaved for... so perfect, personifying every complimentary word gushed on about it by women for centuries.

My first Manolo's.

Purple patent leather.
Goldtone hardware.
Crisscross vamp.
Buckled ankle strap.
Peep toe. 4" 3/4 covered heel.
Made in Italy.

ART that fit me like a glove.

Then it started again, that wierd day dreamy daze i find myself slipping into again and again.

My mocassins, taking me across the snow to get the sunday paper.

before i knew it, i was walking home thinking hot coffee by the fire with my mocassins on me.

tune I can't get out off my head....

I’ve been walking in the same way as I did
Missing out the cracks in the pavement
And tutting my heel and strutting my feet
“Is there anything I can do for you dear? Is there anyone I can call?”
“No and thank you, please Madam. I ain’t lost, just wandering”

Round my hometown
Memories are fresh
Round my hometown
Ooh the people I’ve met
Are the wonders of my world
Are the wonders of my world
Are the wonders of this world
Are the wonders of my world

I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque
I love to see everybody in short skirts, shorts and shades
I like it in the city when two worlds collide
You get the people and the government
Everybody taking different sides

Shows that we ain’t gonna stand shit
Shows that we are united
Shows that we ain’t gonna take it
Shows that we ain’t gonna stand shit
Shows that we are united

- Hometown Glory, Adele

for a minute...

.. those restless conversations on mindless feet,

where did they take me...

TULLE

a sudden rush of cold but replenishing air.

she gasped taking it all in, surprised that she was asphyxiated, drowning in the nude tule and lace.

with nothing to hang on to, she dipped back again into the textured abyss.

looking up as she sank deeper the cloudy grey, fogged by her wild red hair.

she showed no more restraint,as she felt the last cool on the atmosphere leave her last finger tip. She replayed the view of the perfect grey sky, and the wild greens of the fern, the forest and the spring bud.

The one, deep, breathe of air, tasted like the spirit of the Omnipotent One, that was going to cradle her, carry her through the silk, the rayon, the nylon- - the Tulle.

I soak my fingers drenching them in the cool and smooth of the water.

drips of fresh, quenching the droughted surface of my skin, summer.

Thanking You for the rain.

That you let it pour.

with such weight.

heavily.

heavenly.

the Royals

We had to go, it was time.

i felt I was woken up from a deep and long sleep. Everything dark and hazy I was disoriented.

Opening my eyes to a crimson bon fire, with the elders seated around it, clothed in red, black and white, chanting, disputing.

I understood that it was time, and that the 12 inflictions were coming NOW.

we were lined up youngest to the oldest and had to wait for the inflictions of initiation to come. To choose from among the 12 of us who to cause which type of pain.

The White Arrow, that was what i was predetermined for, a cork screw arrow made of bone.

I was to stand still and be shot from behind.

This was My choice. i wanted to be among the 12 boys, not hide in timidity as a woman.

Fight for the king. i wanted to, i yearned to.

The pain was sharp and lingered like an ache that seemed to possess my whole body. Initiation done. They saw me fit to fight.

We were to gather in clusters of three. Sit and pray. out loud.

The first phase of the battle tested our wit. We were to be mentally ready and able.

Draped in what seemed to be nothing like warrior clothes. no armour, no protection, no swords or shields. plain soft linen clothes we were open to inflictions and wounds.

They were coming, swarming like locusts but with the hissing sounds of dashing knives.

There were like the mantis, but made of metal and pierced like needles, paralysing instantly.

we were to entertain them, tell them stories, riddles, occupy their minds, prove our wit.

15 minutes, though lethal, their life spans were shorter than an insignificant fly.

The women, however, completely wrapped in garments were protected, and sat around with large rounded baskets holding treats, they were not to speak. They were to feed and distract the metallic creatures with food and wonders. 15 minutes.

Their time start numbering with entry into the holy battlefield, once out of bounds they wither and die.

There i was, poised amidst my two brothers still trying to convince me to join the women like i should.

But i wanted to fight, Fight for the king.

The first moments of the battle went well, no deaths, no one paralysed.

But there seemed to have been a breach, I was identified, a Woman, unclothed and fighting.

I had to leave.

A girl nearby threw me her outer robe and i wrapped up, picked up a basket and slowly walked out of the battlefield like the rest of them, beasts in my basket.

I was out, back into the view of the white stone monuments and the cold misty air of the city.I wasn't to look back. I could not fight.

Not this time, but there were many wars to come.

And again I will battle, fight for the King.

Fight for my Grandfather, the King.

Curious...

....Is wondering what its like on the other side

What they say, and their dress,
So free the things that she'd suppress.

Wondering what kind of biscuits they have with tea.

Wondering if she'll one day be part of 'we'.

Wondering what its like on the other side...
