Put a sock in it.

So... er. today - I found out the best way to do the perfect ballerina bun - using - wait for it - a SOCK!
You see, underneath that big beauty of a bun - is a neatly rolled - of course fresh - Sock!
Try it! its genius! A lot of the times I feel my hair is too heavy to be placed ON TOP of my head all the day -  and usually causes a lot of strain on my roots. But for some reason doing my hair up this way is comfortable all day!

In other news - I sewed my first pair of shorts today - from scratch and with no guidance (oh the pride) at all. Piccies of the finished product soon! busy much. xx

Hair in the air if you don't really care

 Went for a nice little drive close to Shillong Peak - place called Iing Ksuid - translation being House of Ghosts. I was petrified by the stories my friends were so generous with. As you can see - I was all smiles before we left - I whip my hair. x

Oh you fancy HUH?

After it was LONG long overdue i decided to get my hair trimmed, apparently a very important step to repeat every few weeks to maintain LONG hair. So, being a child of the internet - i researched tips on the matter. I noticed the point most stresses on was to MAKE SURE the hair dresser is aware of what HALF AN INCH means - assuming anyone who graduated primary school would have known - i dismissed the idea of having to do any reminding at the salon.

So when i got there -  i explained i just wanted a trim - no layers or anything shmancy - trusting the girl to know the deal.

the finished product: (the actual finished product on the day had me looking like a tight curled Bimbo) - this is a wash and a dry later-

I came out of there with 6-8 inches snipped off my tresses!!!

On a brighter note - I always love the small talk that happens at salons - hair dressers' desperate attempt at keeping you entertained, and maybe influence you to TIP BIG. So the conversation went something like :

So, who is that you came with - oh, thats my housemate - ah ok, it gets awkward when i as customers straight up if thats they're boyfriend, they usually freak out and say NO... NOOO! no way. - Ah yes, that would be awkward, - So... How long have you been married for?- excuse me WHAT? MARRIED? i'm not married!? - oh! isn't that your HUSBAND? - NO.... NOOOO! noooo.. - oh, I thought you were too young, yes... don't get married so soon babe. *awkward*


 HAHAHA! terribly entertaining -
After the cut i looked so Kardashian-ish , i had to buy a t-shirt to down play my outfit since i was headed to UNI! :P

 After a super sleep deprived weekend (and week come to think of it), I was craving some good old home-cooking. Despite the utter state of exhaustion- I made a yummy (quack) original sauce and pasta for din din. I miss living at home and not having to worry about who's making dinner :(

Its gonna be a LONG night with tons of uni work (products of pro-procrastination) to get done.
