TBH - local designers

Local designers frustrate me - the use of local fabrics is not enough of an excuse to lack creativity in your designs. Jute dresses - bitch, please.

Indian textile- need I say more? - India is textile heaven - we produce masses of amazing fabrics that are exported across the world. Quite honestly - there is no excuse - there's so much more to exploit as local designers.

A couple of days back - I was in my haven, a textile shop in Police Bazaar - honestly, like a child in a candy store, SO MUCH TO PLAY WITH!!! new materials, and already my mind was racing with new experiments. I LOVE glitz, I joke you not, especially on fabrics for traditional wear, like saris, dharas, shawls - and all the ways of re - inventing clothes using such fabrics.... ah sigh. - I day dream about all this in church.

All this talk about representing Shillong - if you're gonna do it - do it right.

JUTE dresses... honestly - face palm

Haha maybe some men fancy women in jute dresses because it means they are tough women..... NOT
haha. Yes I hear you. If you want to represent, do it right. Otherwise, obscurity is better than being known for cheap design.
